St Aidan's C of E Academy

Inspiring Children to Love, Laugh, Learn and Live Life in all Its Fullness (John 10:10)

Our Curriculum

As a Church of England Academy our school vision is based on the belief that God sent his Son in to the world so that we might all have life in all its richness. At St Aidan’s we aim to create a little bit of God’s kingdom in our school, by working together as a team to create a place where we Love one another as God loves us, Laugh loudly at least once a day, Learn all we can the best we can so that we can Live in all its fullness. We believe that it is as important for children to learn to get along with each other as much as it is to learn to read, write and calculate. We have high aspirations for all our children to develop high standards in all areas of the curriculum to achieve their best and to develop socially, morally, culturally and spiritually as well as academically. It is our intention to provide children with the best possible learning experiences to enable all pupils, regardless of ability or background to mature in to well rounded, highly educated, resilient, responsible, confident global citizens who celebrate and share their own unique gifts and talents.

At St Aidan’s Academy we believe that learning should be exciting and challenging working in partnership with parents to provide a high-quality learning experience for all. We try to make sure that each school day brings new experiences, challenges and opportunities for all our children regardless of background or ability. We believe in being inclusive working hard to meet the needs of all individuals and in including children of all faiths and of none.
