Year 2- Mrs Housley
This year, every class are named after a class champion. Throughout the Year the children will learn about their class champion and deliver a special Collective Worship all about what makes them special. By the end of the year the aim is that all of our children know about 6 diverse and amazing champions who make a difference to our world.
Year One’s class champion for 2023-2024 is Usain Bolt.
Usain Bolt is a Jamaican retired sprinter, widely considered to be the greatest sprinter of all time! He is the world record holder in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay.
An eleven-time world champion, he won consecutive World Championship 100 m, 200 m and 4 × 100 metres relay gold medals from 2009 to 2015. He is the most successful male athlete of the World Championships. Bolt is the first athlete to win four World Championship titles in the 200 m and is one of the most successful in the 100 m with three titles. The Usain Bolt Foundation is dedicated to the legacy for happy children; to enhance the character of children through educational and cultural development, as they live their dreams.
