Inspiring Children to Love, Laugh, Learn and Live Life in all Its Fullness (John 10:10)

Proud Responsible Citizens

We encourage children to be caring and to take responsibility for making the appropriate choices. Our children learn together and from each other, we take great pride in our school as a happy and harmonious community. Our School Council helps us to improve teaching and learning in our school. Our children regularly take part in fund raising activities for local and national charities and take part in community projects such as supporting our local church and charities close to our schools’ heart. All children take part in Collective Worship and activities which develop children’s knowledge of and respect for their own and other people’s beliefs and cultures and allow them to understand and value the country and the world they live in. We encourage children to think about our key Christian values and the British values within the wider consideration of human values and within our local context and to consider how these impact on them and their decisions,

We want children to be successful global citizens, who have the skills to make a change in our world. As a school we pride ourselves on making links with both local and international schools to develop children’s world awareness. Linking with schools and children in Zimbabwe as well as local schools with a rich and diverse community.

We promote equality and diversity through our curriculum and promote inclusion and acceptance of all. the curriculum is planned to encourage pupils to take a pride in themselves and their work, as well as being proud of their peers and each other’s achievements. Presentation and good handwriting are key life skills. We encourage the children to-

  • take pride in the presentation of their work
  • understand the importance of writing and joining letters correctly
  • write quickly in order to express themselves creatively and imaginatively
  • move from using pencil to pen through the successful of their pen licence.
