Spirituality
At St Aidan’s CE Academy school we have a shared definition of Spirituality which is..
‘’Spirituality is a universal human experience—something that touches us all. It is not something that we can see; it is something we feel inside ourselves. It is about awe and wonder, asking questions, inspiration and being aware of something ‘bigger’ outside of ourselves.’’
Mrs Willimott's Box of Windows
We have introduced boxes of windows for each class. Each class has been given a special box filled with 6 special books that will encortage the children to think. The books have been carefuly selected to give everyone a window into someone elses world or viewpoint and will hopefully encourage children and staff to ask some 'big questons.'
LYFTA
As part of our commitment to supporting our children to be effective global citizens we have invested in Lyfta. Lyfta invites students to experience different cultures and perspectives. It gives them the opportunity to see and connect with positive human stories from around the world - modelling resilience, problem-solving, teamwork, and many other critical skills, values and competencies.
Lyfta helps teachers nurture the global citizens of tomorrow.
Look at what spirituality looks like in every subject.
Every class has an area for children to explore spirituality and big questions.
