As a Church of England Academy our school vision is based on the belief that God sent his Son in to the world so that we might all have life in all its fullness and richness, wanting us to always live our best life. At St Aidan’s we aim to create a little bit of God’s kingdom in our school, by working together as a team to create a place where we love one another as God loves us, Laugh loudly at least once a day, Learn all we can the best we can so that we can live to our full potential. We believe that it is as important for children to learn to get along with each other as much as it is to learn to read, write and calculate. We have high aspirations for all our children to develop high standards in all areas of the curriculum to achieve their best and to develop socially, morally, culturally and spiritually as well as academically.
At St Aidan’s Academy we believe that learning should be exciting and challenging working in partnership with parents to provide a high quality learning experience to enable every child to mature in to well rounded, highly educated, resilient, responsible, confident global citizens who celebrate and share their own unique gifts and talents. Each school day brings new experiences, challenges and opportunities for all our children regardless of background or ability. We believe in being inclusive working hard to meet the needs of all individuals and in including children of all faiths and of none.
We want our curriculum to develop all our pupils into successful learners, confident, resilient individuals, enthusiastic readers and proud responsible future citizens, who have an active healthy outlook on life and are ready to live a full and rich life in the society of the future.
